Frequently Asked Questions.
Honest Answers For Restaurateurs.
Everything you need to know about billing speed, offline failover, printer pairing, zero-commission dining, and data security.
What happens if our restaurant internet goes down during peak dinner rush?
QrEatz never stops billing. Unlike 100% cloud-dependent POS systems that freeze the moment broadband cuts out, QrEatz features a local offline edge cache. Cashiers can continue punching orders, issuing bills, and firing KOTs to local thermal printers over your internal Wi-Fi/LAN router with zero internet. The moment the connection restores, all orders, GST ledgers, and inventory deducts automatically sync back to the cloud.
How fast is order punching on the counter terminal?
A standard order can be punched in under 1.8 seconds across just 2 taps. Thermal KOT printout latency is under 0.4 seconds. It is specifically designed to handle long takeaway queues, busy bar counters, and multi-table rushes with zero lag.
Does QrEatz support table merging, check splitting, and table transfers?
Yes, fully supported. You can visually merge two adjoining tables for large family gatherings, transfer an active running table to another section (e.g. from outdoor patio to AC lounge), and split bills equally or by individual ordered items with automatic tax calculation.
Can we use our existing touch POS machines, Android tablets, or iPads?
Yes, 100%. QrEatz is hardware-agnostic. You do not need to buy expensive proprietary billing machines. It runs smoothly on Windows POS terminals, all Android tablets, Apple iPads, Windows laptops/desktops, and Android smartphones.
What thermal printers are compatible with QrEatz?
Any standard 2-inch (58mm) or 3-inch (80mm) thermal receipt printer with USB, Bluetooth, Ethernet (LAN), or Wi-Fi connectivity. Popular brands like Epson, TVS, NGX, Posiflex, Citizen, Everycom, and Retsol pair immediately using standard ESC/POS protocol.
Can we route bar orders to one printer and kitchen orders to another?
Yes! QrEatz supports multi-station category routing. When a waiter punches a mixed order (e.g., 2 Mocktails, 1 Butter Chicken, 1 Tandoori Roti), the bar printer automatically prints only the drinks ticket, the kitchen printer prints the curries, and the tandoor section receives the bread ticket.
Do guests need to download an app to scan the QR menu?
No app download required. Guests simply scan the QR code placed on the table with their phone camera or Google Lens. A beautiful, high-speed interactive visual menu opens instantly in their browser with high-resolution food images, chef recommendations, and spice indicators.
Are there any commissions on QR orders or UPI customer payments?
0% commission. Always. Unlike aggregator apps that charge 20% to 30% per order, QrEatz operates on a flat subscription model. When guests pay via your direct UPI QR or card terminal, 100% of the money deposits straight into your restaurant bank account.
How do WhatsApp digital bills work?
Once an order is settled, the cashier can enter the guest's mobile number to dispatch a branded digital e-bill directly to their WhatsApp. This saves thermal paper rolls, delights customers, and automatically builds your private customer CRM for future re-engagement.
How does QrEatz prevent staff cash pilferage and fake bill voids?
Generic billing apps allow cashiers to silently void items after collecting cash from customers. QrEatz, engineered by Cyberfact Security, enforces strict cryptographic audit trails:
• Bill cancellations, custom discounts, and item voids require an authorized Manager PIN.
• Every cash drawer opening without a completed transaction generates an instant alert on the owner's mobile app.
• Cash balance discrepancies at day-end shift handovers are flagged automatically.
Who owns our restaurant's customer data and sales numbers?
You own 100% of your data. Many third-party POS companies sell your customer phone numbers and sales data to competitors or aggregators. Under Cyberfact Security compliance, your database is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and never shared, sold, or accessible to third parties.
Why do you not offer a generic self-serve free trial?
Restaurant owners are busy entrepreneurs. Generic free trials give you an empty software shell and expect you to spend 25+ hours typing 200 menu items, figuring out printer driver baud rates, and troubleshooting network sockets alone.
Instead, we provide a 100% Free 1-on-1 Live Walkthrough: Our engineers take your menu PDF, upload all items, configure your thermal printer drivers, and demonstrate the full system live before you invest a single rupee.
How fast can we go live after booking a demo?
Most cafes and restaurants go completely live within 24 to 48 hours. Once your menu is uploaded, your floor staff and cashiers can master the 2-tap billing flow in less than 20 minutes of training.
